Fundraising for Our Program
Why do we fundraise?
Even though our band generates funds to pay for certain parts of the program, it does not cover every cost associated with the program. Fundraising helps keep fees lower for families and supports travel, equipment, instruction, and student experiences.
What are the benefits of fundraising at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway?
Volunteering at the speedway can help families earn credit toward a student's individual band account, cover fees and trips, build community with other band parents, and help the band cover expenses.
What will I be doing if I volunteer at the Speedway?
Volunteer roles may include bartenders, concession cashiers, suite runners, and suite attendants. Volunteers do not need prior experience; the band program can help show you what to do.
What can my student's account earn?
We volunteer for Levy Restaurants, which operates food venues at LVMS. Earnings vary by event, but past minimums have included:
- NASCAR: $125 per volunteer, with tips supporting the general band fund
- EDC: $125 per volunteer, with tips either collected or credited depending on the event
- Bullring: $100 per volunteer
